Daily Insight - Stop Your Emotional Suffering

Daily Insight - Stop Your Emotional Suffering
The most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves. Though it is difficult, but it's the only way to stop your emotional suffering, start experiencing joy in your life, and create your path to great success. This is what I want you to consider as you start your weekend. Be honest with yourself. Don't deceive yourself by being what you are not. Pretences and deceit cannot guarantee success and happiness. It is only when you are honest that you can change your attitude and become something better. Being honest in all you do is the best way to liberate your mind from bondage and slavery. Stop suffering emotionally and start being happy. Being honest guarantee satisfaction which leads to peace and joy.

Daily Insight - Use Your Talent And Don't Despise It

Daily Insight - Use Your Talent And Don't Despise It

I am happy welcoming you to the last week of this month. I saw these pictures online which have gone viral because as at the time I share them over 2 thousand persons have already shared the post. People love to associate with hard work, diligence and use of talent. They love creativity and commitment no matter the sex. People shared this picture because they love the courage of this young lady who despise shame and what people might say to make a name for herself. I know that this post will fetch her more job.
Beloved, the greatest undoing to your generation and yourself is to hoard or despise it. If this young lady had despised her talent as a painter, who would have heard her name? To be honest to yourself and your generation, you must discern and find out your talent and make good use of it. Some of the friends of this young lady would have taunted her on her love for painting but she ignored that because all of us can't be doctors, lawyers, Engineers at the same time. I know she has become a sought after with this post.
Cherish your visions and your dreams, as they are the children of your soul; the blueprints of your ultimate achievements. Remember that you can't build a reputation on what you intend to do but on what you have done.
After reading my daily insight on Stop Your Emotional Suffering, someone wrote to me saying "More grace to you my brother. I so much like your post online now and I like it so much. Please sir, can you forward same to my WhatsApp? I need it for daily reflections and I owe it to you. God bless you in life, family and ministry in Jesus Christ name."
My talent is to write - books, devotions, insights, food for thoughts and on certificates and gifts items outside my calling as a priest. I thank God that I have discovered them and have been using them to edify souls and people that read most of my post can attest to it. If I hoard it, God and my generation will not be happy with me. Presently, I write the certificate of two schools in Asaba and for my Diocese,
So it is in your case. Use your gifts and talents no matter how negligible it may seem to men. God who gave it to you want your generation to benefit from it. People are waiting to hear your name as a painter, engineer, Carpenter, Electrician, an author, doctor, nurse, etc. Your generation is waiting to hear your name. Don't keep them waiting, do something today. Have a fruitful week.

Daily Insight – Discipline And Judgement Lead To Fortune or Failure

Daily Insight – Discipline And Judgement Lead To Fortune or Failure
"Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day, while failure is simply a few errors in judgement, repeated every day. It is the cumulative weight of our disciplines and our judgements that leads us to either fortune or failure."-Jim Rohn
Beloved, I want you to know that the difference between successful people and unsuccessful ones is in their disciple and judgement. Every human being can dream and plan but the execution of every plan or dream needs discipline and good judgement. For example, some people will plan to save certain amount of money every month but very few maintain that plan and that is where the difference lies. All the great men and women of our time didn’t have all the money they needed to start their booming business of today. Some started as petty traders and with good judgement and discipline, they rose to the highest level of their business or career.
What John Rohn posited in the above quotation are essence of discipline, good judgement, consistency and commitment. If you want to start a project, you have to maintain financial disciple with good judgement to enable you save enough money for the project. If you can’t save from the 1000 naira you receive monthly, you can’t save when you earn 10,000 Naira per month. Start today to discipline your appetite; your desires, your emotions and your passions. Don’t think there is a special day to start. That is the way to success and fortune. Lack of discipline and good judgement will earn you failure.
Probably you have committed some errors in the past that saw your attempt at starting that dream project crumble. You don’t need to repeat such again. Repeating such error(s) means that you haven’t learnt any lesson yet. Learn from your mistakes and build a perfect future.

Daily Insight - Take Action And Be A Leader

Daily Insight - Take Action And Be A Leader
"A leader is someone who is ahead of the pack. Even if it is only by one inch. They are doing, or have done, what they want or expect others to do. They are not watchers nor do they wait around. They take action...proper action....a lot of proper action! And they never give up!" -Jack M. Zufelt
Good day friends! It is a great pleasure sharing this with you. Our world needs leaders. Our world is in dire need of men and women who will take responsibilities and make a difference. Leadership is not a title but taking responsibility to make a difference and leaving impressions on the hearts of people. No wonder Robin Sharma wrote a book titled A LEADER WHO HAD NO TITLE. That book is worth reading.
What Jack M. Zulfet posited in the quotation above is that a leader takes action and has something to offer people. If you want to be a leader, you must be proactive and innovative. Offer people something different from what they have or have seen. You must be ahead of the people and not the people dictating for you what to do. Again, be an example for others. You have to be the light for others to see and the flavour that will add meaning to people's life. You should lead by taking responsibilities and actions. Don't be a watcher and don't wait around. Take the lead, offer solutions to problems and that will single you out as a true leader that the world will celebrate.

Daily Insight - Live Out Your Dream And Stop Pleasing Everybody

Daily Insight - Live Your Dream And Stop Pleasing Everybody
Welcome to another week of great opportunities to make progress and make amends of last week's mistakes. You might have spent too many days and years trying to please other people and be what they wanted you to be. No more! There is a big difference between pleasing and serving. Service has a higher purpose. Pleasing is being in bondage & control of others. Live your dreams, not of others.
As you begin this week, be determined to live out your dream. Be determined not to please people who want you to live out their schedules and not yours. You must have your own schedule written so that it will guide you. I want you to understand that not pleasing people here shouldn't undermine your responsibility as a public or civil servant; your responsibility as an apprentice or as worker under a boss. You have your schedule of work as a public/civil servant, an apprentice or a staff of your establishment which you should work out but I am talking in terms of personal life and relationships with others. You have to make your personal life and beliefs count or else you will never live out your dream.
Think about this as you start a new working week. In your business, your workshop, your neighbourhood and other places you will be this week, you can never please all the people. Some will misunderstand you and oppose you. Nevermind their misconceptions about your beliefs. Do your best and you will be satisfied at the end of the day. Your satisfaction matters and not the joy of the world.

Daily Insight - You Are Unique

Daily Insight - You Are Unique
"No two human beings are the same. Everyone of 7.6 billion people living on earth today look and act different because nature doesn’t make copies. Each of us arrives as an original, totally unique. It’s up to us to figure out our uniqueness. Are you aware of what makes you unique?" - Billionaires Secrets
Greetings my friends and fans. I have come with a good news today to inform you that you are unique which should make you proud. When you find out your uniqueness and fan it, you will become a legend and an icon. Your uniqueness is what God expect you to use so as to become great in life. Lack of understanding of what is our uniqueness and poor use of it is the reason so many people have continued to live as mediocre and under-archievers.
Again, many people have left their uniqueness and have been admiring other people's uniqueness. That is the reason you see an artisan living well while a university graduate is wallowing in abject poverty. The greatest mistake we can make and the greatest undoing to ourselves, and God is to think that your uniqueness is irrelevant to your generation. Be you an artist, marketer, petty trader, footballer, teacher, priest, civil servant, engineer, nurse, etc, you can make name with it.
If you have not discovered what you uniqueness is, try as much as you can to find out. I can help you to do so if you don't know or you are still in doubt if you contact me. As you find out what makes you unique, and begin to develop and use it, you will definitely become a sought after in your neighbourhood. If it is to fry bean cake, be a mechanic, become a medical doctor or whatever may be your uniqueness, do it with zest and passion. Be proactive and innovative in it so that you will end up becoming a legend.

Make Right Choices To Shape Your Circumstances

Daily Insight - Make Right Choices To Shape Your Circumstances
"A person cannot directly choose his circumstances, but he can choose his thoughts, and so indirectly, yet surely, shape his circumstances." - As A Man Thinketh
In her outstanding book, Choose the Happiness Habit, Pam Golden writes about "the story of two brothers who are twins. One grows up to be an alcoholic bum. The other becomes an extremely successful businessman. When the alcoholic is asked why he became a drunk, he replies, "My father was a drunk." When the successful businessman is asked why he became successful, he says, "My father was a drunk." Same background. Same upbringing. Very different choices."
The brothers chose different thoughts about the identical experience. Those thoughts over the years shaped the circumstances they now find themselves in.
There was a time in my life when I chose to think about challenges and obstacles as just more of the "bad luck" I seemed to attract. Ever hear the expression "when it rains, it pours?" That was my constant mantra when others asked me how things were going. So what do you think I got more of? If you answered "RAIN," you’re correct!
Bob Proctor says "you’re either living in the problem or you’re living in the solution." Now, when I’m confronted with what I used to think was a negative situation, I use a different thought process. I force myself to replace those negative thoughts that creep in with positive thoughts about how I might solve the "problem." Sometimes I’ll take a notepad and just start jotting down ideas that might be a solution. At the same time, my thoughts are focused on the possible lessons I might learn from the situation so that I might profit from the experience in the future.
If you’ve guessed that it doesn’t "rain" as much in my life as it used to, you’re correct again. In fact, most days it’s a beautiful, cloudless and sunny day! Only occasionally now do I get any rain, and it’s good rain, the kind that makes living things grow.
Have a great day.

Daily Insight - Consistency: Key to Legendary Status

Daily Insight - Consistency: Key to Legendary Status

It is a well known saying that Rome wasn't built in a day... but those who built Rome were laying bricks every hour. Of course we know that there is nothing impressive about laying a brick. Nobody is going to applaud you for laying only a brick. But laying a brick every hour, every day, year after year - that's how you build an empire.
Beloved, does the above statement make any sense to you? The message in that paragraph is about consistency which is vital in achieving your goals in life. Don't think that the likes of Dangote, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, etc suddenly became billionaires. Dangote was once a sales boy under his uncle. He started his own business with borrowed money and his consistency paid off.
The message I have for you today is that you should be consistent and continue to lay the bricks of your business empire every hour; every day, every week, every month and year after year. What you are doing today may not impress people and certainly it will not. People may even call you names for laying one brick alone today. They will criticize and ridicule your efforts. They will misunderstand your goals and actions. Do not mind their criticism. Just be focused and with time they will come to congratulate you. With time you will make a name for yourself, become a brand name in many homes and a legend in your chosen career.
I wish you a great and fruitful day as you lay the bricks of today, building your Rome.

Daily Insight - Who Will Cry When You Die?

Daily Insight - Who Will Cry When You Die?
"When you where born, you cried while the whole world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die, the world cries while you rejoice." - Ancient Sanskrit Saying
The above quotation changed my life; my world, my perception and my thinking about life. It brought about the transformation of my life and have placed me on a higher ground. If there is anything you can do to change your world, I suggest that you read books.
I first read about the above quotation in Robin Sharma's book, WHO WILL CRY WHEN YOU DIE. We must understand that we have a compelling duty to live our lives for the good of other people. At birth, we cried while people around were rejoicing and celebrating our arrival. Beloved, have you ever asked why do babies cry at birth? That is a discussion for another day.
When someone dies, two sets of people cry. They are the immediate family members and those that benefitted from the person's kindness. Kindness towards people should be the rent we pay for the mercies of God that we enjoy here on earth. In the scriptures, people cried when Dorcas died. Likewise so many great men and women that lived on this earth. People cried when they died.
When you die, who will cry? Is it only your immediate family? When you live for yourself or selfishly, your family alone will cry for you when you die but when you live selfless life and for the good of other people, the world will cry when you die. Therefore, begin to live well. Wipe away tears in people's eyes through your acts of charity and kindness. Show mercy to people. Empathize with the hurt, care for the needy, protect the widows, fight for the rights of the oppressed and ensure that you have a way of assisting the less privileged people around you.
By doing so, you would have succeeded in not only immortalizing your name in the hearts of people but also securing for yourself peaceful exit from this earth which will make people (those who benefitted from your good deeds and those who heard your story) cry when you die. Think about this and begin in earnest to affect lives around you.

Daily Insight – Always Be The Best You Can

Daily Insight – Always Be The Best You Can
“Don’t live in your past or else you will regret when you get to your future. Always be the best you can and you will be at the top at all times” – My Rise To Legendary Status

Don’t live in your past is a popular admonition. Many people have heard about this admonition. However, my concern is the preceding sentence from where I picked my topic of this daily insight. Living in the past denies us the opportunity of harnessing and maximizing the good opportunities in our today and in our future. It makes us lose focus and thus we are bereft of ideas on how best we can live a fulfilling life from the mistakes and lessons of the past.
Being the best we can demands self-disciplined and well planned life. It demands that we should forget about what we were yesterday; our achievements, our success stories, our setbacks, our failure and strive to gain new grounds. In being the best we can, we must be focused with daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and long term goals of what we intend to achieve in this life and in our endeavours. We should read the biographies of people who have risen to the top to gain insight on how they did it. We should constantly get the mentoring from them if we can get access to them. This will help to keep us on our toes and make us forget about our past. It will help us to aim higher and higher on daily basis. In your work today and always, aim to be the best you can and certainly it will take you to the top.
I wish you the best!

Daily Insight – Shift From Ordinary To Extraordinary

Daily Insight – Shift From Ordinary To Extraordinary
Make your life matter in this generation. Be of use to yourself and humanity. Serve as many people as you can possibly serve. This is how each of us can shift from the ordinary into the extraordinary and walk amongst the best who ever lived.
The above is what can make you extraordinary in this your generation. Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther king, Florence Nightingale, Samuel Ajayi Crowther and so many other people that have lived and are still living did it. Our world lack Leaders who have diaconate spirit. Most people in leadership positions today are so selfish and self-centred that all that matters to them is what they can acquire for themselves and their posterity. They are not after the welfare of people they serve. For this reason, some of them want to remain in power for life.
Service to humanity is what distinguishes us as extraordinary. It makes us so humane and gives us a sense that what we are and what we have are gifts.
Beloved friend, as we begin another week, I want you to understand that your talents and gifts are inconsequential if they are not used for the good of humanity. Again, God expects you to account for it because it was given to you for a purpose.
God doesn’t make mistakes. He has placed you where you are today because there is someone there that should benefit from your gifts and talents. Look around and see the people in your neighbourhood; your office, the place you do your business and people that come to you. There is someone God wants you to serve with your gifts and talents. There are people around you in dire need of your gifts and talents. Serve them! Make your life count where people are. Serve them with your gifts; your money, your car, your talents and your wisdom. People want to come to you. Don’t scare them away. Rather, serve them and you would have succeeded in making your life count in your generation.

Daily Insight: Welcome To The Month Of August 2018

Daily Insight - Welcome to the month of August 2018
“Great ideas means nothing without world-class willpower to get the big ideas done” – Robin Sharma.
If it is by ideas and thought alone, many of us today will be competing with Bill Gates, Amancio Ortega, Warren Buffett, Carlos Slim Helu, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison, Michael Bloomberg, Dangote, etc. These men and many others had ideas and also a corresponding world-class willpowser to get these ideas done.
Dreams and thought are free. You don't pay a dream or think of how to ride Lamborghini or build your castle in the moon. Many of us since this year have been thinking and dreaming how they will start a business; how they will save to build a house, buy a car or marry. Many of us have developed good masterplan for the business they have in mind.
If I may ask, how many of us who failed to accomplish our thoughts and dreams have actually asked why did I find it difficult to work out my dream. The answer is what Robin Sharma said in that quotation above.
Beloved, you need willpower to get your ideas work for you, not just willpower but world-class willpower. Don't allow that idea to die natural death. Start the action(s) needed to make it really happen. Remember that if your ideas doesn't frighten you initially, it will not meet world standard. Dream big dreams and start from somewhere. Until you begin to take one or more actions, you will never get that idea to become a reality which will make you a legend in your generation. Be determined and take action today. I hope you will catch up with me at the top.
God bless you and your new month. Welcome to the month of August, 2018

Daily Insight – Persist In Your Darkest Hour

Daily Insight – Persist In Your Darkest Hour
“It was the stone that bruised my feet that made me strong. It was those hard battles and testing times when I felt I was almost overflowed, that fashioned the qualities of courage and trust deep within me. There will never be a dungeon in your life where the Master is not able and willing to give you grace and victory in your darkest hour” – Kathryn Kulhman.
Often, we experience dark hours in our life’s journey. Dark hours are periods where there seem to be no more courage to carry on. Dark hour is that period when friends and family members have deserted you in your trials and tribulations. Dark hour is that period you have been denied, betrayed, abandoned, neglected, mistreated, and rejected and now you are at the point of giving up. This has happened to so many great men and women we admire today. Read their biographies and you will agree with the words of Kathryn Kulhman that “It was the stone that bruised my feet that made me strong. It was those hard battles and testing times when I felt I was almost overflowed, that fashioned the qualities of courage and trust deep within me.”
In this past week, you might have be bruised, abused, neglected, rejected, mistreated, betrayed and abandoned by family members and friends. In this new week, you may be weighing some options available to you which may include suicide, resignation, breaking your relationship, divorce, etc. Wait a minute; I have another option for you, which I know have worked for so many people. The option is to use the stones thrown at you (the abuse, the setbacks, betrayal etc) as a stepping stone to make a name for yourself.
In 2003, a female doctor in Lagos told my wife to take me home for burial that I will not survive the kidney failure. My wife cried initially and thereafter took the decision to do everything possible to save my life. The decision made her to make so many sacrifices and finally donate one of her kidneys to save my life. Today, she is celebrated whenever they mention her name and I am alive. Her darkest hours which seem too long then are over. If she had accepted what that female doctor said, who will hear of her?
Therefore, I charge you to push those disappointments, abuses, rejections, etc behind you and decide to move on. Your end has not come. There is joy and celebration ahead of you. Resolve to begin to do things that will make those who abused, abandoned and neglected you to come back and congratulate you. See you at the top

Daily Insight - Extend Your Blessings To Others

You have found yourself refreshed by the presence of cheerful people. Why not make earnest effort to confer such pleasure on others.

Beloved, I welcome you to another great day; a day of great opportunities, a day to right the wrongs of yesterday and a day to amend the mistakes of the past, and to do things rightly. Our daily insight for today centres on extending our blessings to others. Many of us have been so blessed by people we associate with; people live in the same neighbourhood with us, our colleagues, our business partners, our teachers and people we come across on daily basis. Many of them have impacted on us through mentoring. But some of us have vehemently refused to mentor others and have decided to bury/hoard their talents and gifts inside them.
Have you thought of what this world will be if we can share what we have and our blessings with others? Don’t you think this world is in a mess because many of us are stingy with our talents, gifts and blessings? Do you think you will lose by impacting or mentoring others? Do you think you will lose by sharing your gifts and talents with others?
We have a duty to bring our blessings, gifts and talents to bear in the lives of others. It was Barrie who said in Power Bible CD that “Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.” Today, I urge you to bring sunshine into someone’s life through your visit; your call, your mentoring, your gifts, your charity, your counselling and building bridges to make peace with people or to reconcile people. Do something today to make someone happy and at the end of the day and your life here on earth, you will feel satisfied that you have lived well.
Good day and have a great weekend

Daily Insight

Daily Insight
"Within you right now is the power to do things you never dreamed possible. This power becomes available to you just as soon as you can change your beliefs."
-Maxwell Maltz
Beloved, do think you are nobody. Don't let it cross your mind that you are doomed. Don't believe the lies of the enemies that you cannot make it or you are never do well.
Today I have a good news for you. The new is that within you is the power, the ability, the wisdom and the knowledge to overcome that nagging and perennial problem. Within you are all the power to overcome and excel. The only impediment will be your unwillingness to change your beliefs. Thought helps to fashion us. James Allen knew this well which he expressed in his book AS A MAN THINKETH where he discuss the enormous effect of the power of thought over our lives. You need to read the book if you have not done so before now.
Therefore, I urge you today to change your beliefs and mindset about life: about success and about the enormous power that lies within you. When you change your thoughts and beliefs, you will begin to experience a kind of will power in you that will propel you into doing what had seem impossible before now.
Thanks for your time. See you tomorrow for another daily insight.

Who Will Speak For Us

Who Will Speak For Us: A Tribute In Honour Of
Late Pastor Augustine Okwuolise
Today, Thursday 8th March 2018 is World Kidney Day. Word Kidney Day was started by the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and International Federation of Kidney Foundation (IFKF) in 2006 with the theme ARE YOUR KIDNEYS OKAY? It is a day for global awareness campaign aimed at raising awareness of the importance of our kidneys.
I’ve just finished watching AIT Newshour and though not surprised, didn’t hear the mention of World Kidney throughout the Newshour and so it was in some other media houses. This confirms the assertion of Dr Ebun Bamgboye that there are only 160 Nephrologists in Nigeria. There are too few that speak out for kidney patients in Nigeria and unfortunately, their voices are not heard. Who speaks for those suffering Kidney diseases and those who are living with transplanted kidneys in Nigeria as transplant is only a temporary treatment and not permanent treatment?
Today I remembered Augustine Okwuolise, a friend and colleague in the battle for life. He was working in Delta State Deputy Governor’s office in the time of Chief B. S. C. Elue when his kidneys failed. Chief Elue directed him to me while I was serving in All Saints Church Obior. That was how I came to know Pastor Augustine Okwuolise. We started battling for life after the transplant. When the idea of Kidney Care Association Delta State was muted, he was at hand to join and support the move. On a day like this when we celebrate World Kidney Day, he will join me to DBS, State House of Assembly, Ministry of Health and other places we may choose to carry out our advocacy and campaign to. Today, I missed his company.
Who speaks for Kidney disease patients and those living with transplanted kidneys? Pastor Okwuolise was a man who will not want to become a burden on anybody. The only help he received since his kidney failed was the initial money given to him for transplant. Due to his nature of heavy mouth, he opted to bear the burden of his check up and purchase of drugs for more than 10 years. He wouldn’t have developed complications that led to his death if there were people who are specialists and who have the heart of God and are well placed; who are ready to speak on behalf of Kidney patients. Probably Pastor Okwuolise would have been alive today. His salaries and allowances in a year can’t buy his drugs, yet he kept “borrowing” to survive but today, he is no more. Adieu great man!
But who speaks for those who have kidney problems. He is not the only person that is suffering as far as this kidney problem is concerned. Many of us are suffering. As I write, Kidney Care Association Delta State has lost 2 of her members in January and February 2018. Two of our members have lost their transplanted kidneys. One of them had gone back to India for another transplant surgery. The drug boxes of many of us including myself are almost empty with no dime for refill in sight. Who speaks for the kidney patients? Who understands our plight? When we quote what we need for drugs, people think that we are asking for too much but we have not even had enough for our treatment and care.
I felt greatly hurt that Nigerian Nephrologists not deem it right to do something meaningful more than empowering themselves in that field and many of us living with transplanted kidneys have not even care to speak out for the world to know that we are suffering. I have seen more than 5 Nigerian Nephrologists come to India to understudy my doctor there. That is a good thing but we want more from them in terms of advocacy and awareness campaigns during World Kidney Day and other days. There is need to come together to do more.
Presently, there are more than 25million Nigerians living with Kidney diseases. They need over N100,000:00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) for dialysis every week and many have died without anyone to help. Just like my doctor observed few years ago, that he has helplessly watched kidney patients die because there was nothing he could do to help the number of patients that come to him daily. However there are so many more things to do to help subsequent patients. We need the few Nephrologists in Nigeria to start speaking out for us. American Kidney Fund does something like that in USA.
The Kidney patients in Nigeria are suffering. Those that are still on dialysis are suffering. There are thousands that die on daily basis that can’t afford dialysis. Who will understand our plights? Who will speak for us? Dear Augustine Okwuolise, as we lay your remains to rest, be assured that I, Tabugbo Morgan Uzoma will continue the fight you started with me. I am not continuing because I may so much benefit but I will fight until posterity will stand to say thank God for those that fought for kidney disease patients in Nigeria.
Good Night Pastor Augustine Okwuolise as we continue the battle for life!

TIP FOR THE WEEK

TIP FOR THE WEEK

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'press on' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race." -John Calvin Coolidge.
This saying is my tip for you this week as you begin to hustle to have ends meet. In life I have discovered that talent is essential, education is vital but without persistence to show your talent and reveal your education, they will decay with you. Eventually you will become a liability to your generation. This is what most people don't understand.
Don't try to be complacent with your talent, gift and education. Maximize them by making good use of them and by practicing them always. You will find out that the more you do some, the more you will end up becoming a celebrity and a legend in that area of your gift, talent and education.
Therefore as you start your week, be persistent in that area of your talent, gift, calling and education. Remember that nothing good comes so easily. There will be enemies to hinder in various ways. The self in you will oppose you by requesting you to take it easy. However, what will bring you to the podium is your dedication and persistence as John Calvin Coolidge said. Possession of  educational certificates of different kinds, gifts unused and talents untapped is not enough until you have proved that you have a certificate; that you are endued with talents and gifts with your dedication and use of all these.
As a pastor, persist in prayer and preaching the word. As a teacher, show your talent and gifts by the way you will take your job seriously. As medical personnel, your commitment and persistence in attending to people will distinguish you. The bankers, marketers, artisans, etc., should likewise do the same. Give yourself to your work and you will obviously see the difference you will make in the society.
Have a glorious week!
Your friend and fan,
Tabugbo Uzoma

WAYS TO HAVE A GREAT AND REWARDING 2018

WAYS TO HAVE A GREAT AND REWARDING 2018
Welcome to 2018! It is very important to inform you on some of the things you can do to make 2018 breathtakingly great for you. Many people desire to have a great year but they are not ready to come out of their comfort zone or change the way they do things.
Beloved, are you hoping that your 2018 will be a better year than your 2017? If you answered yes, then the next question to ask is what have you changed in 2018 in respect of the ways you have been things? If your answer is nothing, then you are probably one of the persons that made Albert Einstein to say this: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. In other words, if you are still doing again the same thing you did in 2017 which probably didn't yield the desired result, well they may not change.
I therefore strongly encourage you to make the following 8 moves starting today.
1. Write Your Achievements In 2017. This should be an inventory that you will write with pen and paper noting the 12 victories you created in 2017. It should be what you achieved. This is a kind of faith booster that if you won and achieve something last year, you will still win this year. Try and review them regularly especially when you face challenges.
2. Make Your Perfect New Year Plan. I always encourage people to write down what they actually desire their year to be; setting out their dream year in courageous detail. Do not think small here!
3. Set Your 5 Monthly Priorities. These priorities can be personal or professional. Just get them down so your best nature can start sensing opportunities to make them happen. You now have a tool you can use for regular review to keep you mentally focused on the vital few things at a time.
4. Do A Yearly Life Detox Audit. The negative people, the pursuits you dislike and the environments that deplete your joy are costing you fortunes of income and empires of impact. They can also deplete your commitment and dedication to your priorities. They are success robbers that should be deleted from your life. This will help you to become the person you truly want to be.
5. Spend 60-Minute To Learn Daily. Spending 60 minutes every day learning and growing is an absolute game-changer. The more you know, the better you can do and the faster you'll grow, the higher you'll fly. Schedule a daily period to invest in your personal development and mastery of your craft. Build this right into your daily schedule for the next 90 days. Note that the things that get scheduled are the things that get done.
6. Create Your Morning Declaration. Write a statement of few paragraphs to remind yourself of who you are at your best, how you wish to live each day and what you vow to stand for in the world. Reciting this aloud when you first wake up will revive your brain and heart which will be a tonic and a motivator. This will also help you to delete negativity and bring on your audacity.
7. Take Time To Have Fun. You know that life is too short to be too serious. Yes, it can be tough. Sure, unexpected events happen. Definitely, our great hopes can sometimes be destroyed. Yet, there is so much striking beauty in the world and you have such good in your life and around you. As unexpected events happen, keep doing your best and remember that vast blessings are definitely on their way. Again take time to have fun with your family and “good” friends. This will keep you going after hopes have been dashed.
8. Keep a journal. A journal is different from a diary. In journal you write positive and negative life lessons you learn on daily basis and do a weekly review of same. This will help you to avoid repeating mistakes and also help you to focus on the areas you are good.
I hope this will be useful to you as you pray and plan for your year. I wish you a great and rewarding 2018. Thanks to Robin Sharma (my mentor) and Vic Johnson for making me better
I remain your friend and fan,
