Daily Insight for Greatness – Persist In Your Darkest Hour

Daily Insight for Greatness – Persist In Your Darkest Hour

“It was the stone that bruised my feet that made me strong. It was those hard battles and testing times when I felt I was almost overflowed, that fashioned the qualities of courage and trust deep within me. There will never be a dungeon in your life where the Master is not able and willing to give you grace and victory in your darkest hour” – Kathryn Kulhman.

Often, we experience dark hours in our life’s journey.

Dark hours are periods where there seem to be no more courage to carry on.

Dark hour is that period when friends and family members have deserted you in your trials and tribulations.

Dark hour is that period you have been denied, betrayed, abandoned, neglected, mistreated, and rejected and now you are at the point of giving up.

This has happened to so many great men and women we admire today.

Read their biographies and you will agree with the words of Kathryn Kulhman that “It was the stone that bruised my feet that made me strong. It was those hard battles and testing times when I felt I was almost overflowed, that fashioned the qualities of courage and trust deep within me.”

You might have been bruised, abused, neglected, rejected, mistreated, betrayed and abandoned by family members and friends.

Now you may be weighing some options available to you which may include suicide, resignation, breaking your relationship, divorce, etc.

Wait a minute! I have another option for you, which I know have worked for so many people.

The option is to use the stones thrown at you (the abuse, the setbacks, betrayal etc) as a stepping stone to make a name for yourself.

In 2003, a female doctor in Lagos told my wife to take me home for burial that I will not survive the kidney failure.

My wife cried initially and thereafter took the decision to do everything possible to save my life.

The decision made her to make so many sacrifices and finally donate one of her kidneys to save my life.

Today, she is celebrated whenever they mention her name and I am alive.

Her darkest hours which seem too long then are over. If she had accepted what that female doctor said, who will hear of her?

Therefore, I charge you to push those disappointments, abuses, rejections, etc. behind you and decide to move on.

Your end has not come.

There is joy and celebration ahead of you.

Resolve to begin to do things that will make those who abused, abandoned and neglected you to come back and congratulate you.
